face operations

The face loses its firmness in the normal process of aging. With time appear small wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, cheek, forhead and neck. This process can be accelerated by sunlight, stress, smoking, alcohol, an improper diet. There are a number of types of face operations:

  • Brow lift
  • Eyelid correction - upper and lower
  • Full and partial face-lifting

FACE-LIFTING OPERATIONS

Face-lifting operations do not only involve the skin, but also suspension of the mimical muscles of the face and neck. Additionally a layer of fat can also be removed. The operation is done according to a method called COMPOSITE RHYTIDECTOMY authored by S.T. Hamra.

After this type of operation you can rejuvenate your face by five to ten years, but at the same time you will still have your natural expressions. The operations carried out at our clinic mean that you will still have your natural expressions, and that the appearance of a mask-like face is avoides.

The incision lines are: one each side directly on the front of the ear and the rest are in the hair line - resulting in scars which are almost invisible.

The operation takes about 2 to 3 hours and is done under general anaesthesia. The stay at the clinic is 3 to 5 days. Drains are left to remove excess fluids. The first stitches are removed on the 5th day and the hair-line stitches are removed on the 14th day (this can be done in the U.K. at a Doctor's surgery). The swelling appears up till the 4th day after the operation and with appropriate treatment this disappears after 2 to3 weeks.

The face should look completely normal after 2 months.

At the time of your stay at the clinic you will undergo special light treatment and/or massages which speed up the healing process.

You need to avoid intensive sunlight and solaria for 8 weeks. People who smoke cigarettes need to stop smoking one month before the operation and cannot smoke for 4 weeks after the operation (your skin needs oxygen).
